The Philippine Air Force is said to have only one serviceable FA-50PH after another aircraft was damaged by a bird strike earlier this year.

The Manila Standard said the incident occurred at Clark airbase in March and since then, the jet has been grounded as the F404 engine is yet to be replaced.
It is reported that Manila will take delivery of another two FA-50PH by end of this year and the rest of eight in 2017.
