Reuters says the U.S. government is expected to approve the sale of 36 F-15s to Qatar and 28 F/A- 18E/F to Kuwait. The decision could be made as early as next week.

Reuters says four U.S. and Gulf-based sources have confirmed the story.
A third sale of F-16s to Bahrain remains under consideration. But approval of that is expected sooner or later.
