Naval units participating in exercise Cutlass Fury off the coast of Canada deviate from the exercise to save a 24-year-old fisherman.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre dispatched HMS Monmouth to the fishing boat and a doctor from Royal Navy determined that the man had to get medical attention. A Canadian Cormorant helicopter from the main land would take too long to reach the fishing vessel and a decision was made to use a U.S. Navy helicopter from USNS Robert E. Peary to send him to Halifax.
