Two of the three Scud-ER ballistic missiles that North Korea fired towards Japan on Sept. 5 had landed in the same area off Okushirito island of Hokkaido, Japanese defense officials said.
The third missile landed 10km from where the first two ended up. All three missiles were fired within one minute of each other.
As two of the missiles has similar trajectories, defense analysts say this could make it harder for missile defense systems to intercept them.
