Alexander Vershbow, deputy secretary general of NATO, said at a meeting at NATO headquarters in Brussels, that alliance defense ministers will likely give the green light to have E-3A deployed to the Middle East to support the fight against ISIL.

“The basic plans are agreed with in the alliance. The assets have been identified that can perform the mission,” he said. “They will provide additional data for the overall air picture that supports coalition operations.”
