VP-47’s final P-3 deployment locations are El Salvador, Japan

VP-47 has embarked on its final P-3C deployment before the squadron switches to the P-8A next year. The squadron is split into two supporting the 7th Fleet at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan and the 4th Fleet at Comalapa, El Salvador.

For the transition to P-8A, the unit will shift from Hawaii to NAS Whidbey Island next year.
