Whilst the Royal Air Force’s Red Arrows are performing across Asia-Pacific in the next few months, the service’s Eurofighters will be in the same region around that time for exercises with various air forces. The last stop for the European fighter will be South Korea.
Scheduled from Nov. 4-10 at Osan Air Base, the British pilots will join South Koreans and Americans in Exercise Invincible Shield.
A spokesman from the RoKAF said the exercise “is aimed at improving the allies’ capabilities of attacking North Korea’s major military and leadership facilities (if provoked) but also intercepting incoming fighters from the North.”
Before arriving at South Korea, the Eurofighters will be in Japan for joint exercises with the JASDF as well.
