AAG back on ‘trap’

A senior U.S. Navy officer told reporters that the Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) is showing signs of improvement after repeated delays.

Vice Adm. Tom Moore, head of Naval Sea Systems Command, said he expects “an aircraft recovery bulletin for Super Hornet by February.”

During recent testing at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, the AAG landed a Super Hornet 12 times a day without an issue.
