India’s Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), the RUSTOM – II, has carried out its first flight from the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR), Chitradurga on Nov. 16.

Designed and developed by Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), the aircraft successfully carried out a series of maneuvors such as level flight, bank, take off and landing.
The aircraft, designated as TAPAS 201, will be able to stay airborne for up to 24 hours.
