Former U.S. Air Force fire chief pleads guilty to procurement violation, wire fraud

The former fire chief of the U.S. Air Force, James E. Podolske Jr., has pleaded guilty to two charges, one for divulging contract bid information to a contractor and taking more than $100,000 raised for charity.

Podolske faces up to 25 years in prison, $500,000 in fines and three years of supervised release.

He also resigned his position on Oct. 21, 2016.
