The Israeli Air Force intends to launch a program to find a replacement for its Sikorsky CH-53 Yasur and both Lockheed Martin and Boeing are expected to vie for the contract.

Lockheed will be offering the CH-53K, the latest variant of the CH-53 family. Boeing will compete with the CH-47.
Israeli test pilots are expected to evaluate both aircraft and a decision is expected in 2018.
