India phased out its 500 and 1,000 rupee notes and demand for the new notes have forced to government to rope in the Indian Air Force to rush new notes to various parts of the country to meet demand.

Since Nov. 19, An-22s, C-130Js and C-17s have been busy airlifting currencies to distribution centers. Helicopters are involved as well in order to bring the notes to remote areas.
