U.S. to retire F-4 from active inventory next week

Its sunset for the F-4 Phantom II in active duty U.S. Air Force inventory as a retirement ceremony cum final flight will be held at Holloman Air Force Base on Dec. 21. Hit the link below if you’d like to attend the ceremony.

  1. When I was on board two United States destroyer DD-784, and DD-718 running up and down the cost of Vietnam. We would do what was called Carrier watch. The destroyer would follow behind the carriers as it would retrieve her aircraft.
    It was cool too see these F-4’s Fantom fly over the destroyer as they were on final.
