Three French policemen were invited to tour USS Dwight D. Eisenhower during the aircraft carrier’s port visit in Marseille. However, the trio were forgotten by their guides and left aboard the ship when it departed.

The three were discovered by the crew after the carrier was underway and the captain stop the boat and arranged for the French police to send a boat to bring them back to shore.
