U.S. Army researchers demonstrate 3-D printed drones

The U.S. Army Research Laboratory recently demonstrated a 3-D printed On-Demand Small Unmanned Aircraft System (ODSUAS) to the Army Training and Doctrine Command at Fort Benning, Georgia last month.

The shell and propeller arms of the quadcopter are printed using additive manufacturing while the motors and propellers are assembled using off-the-shelf equipment.
