British Trident SLBM veered off course towards U.S. during test-firing

British Prime Minister Theresa May has come under pressure to disclose whether she knew a Trident submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) fired off the coast of Florida had went the wrong direction during testing weeks before Parliamentarians voted to replace the Trident.

When questioned by BBC for four times, she declined to answer the question.

May said: “I have absolute faith in our Trident missiles.

“When I made that speech in the House of Commons, what we were talking about was whether or not we should renew our Trident.”

The Sunday Times made the disclosure over the weekend. It was the first test of the Trident by the British in four years and took place in June of 2016. The missile was fired from HMS Vengeance.
