Masayuki Tanaka, from ShinMaywa’s export division, told Jane’s at MAST Asia 2017 exhibition in Tokyo that his company is willing to let Indonesian firms collaborate on the final assembly of the US-2 amphibian if Indonesia selects the aircraft.

However, Tanaka ruled out the possibility of assembling the aircraft in Indonesia as it will not be economically feasible to do so.
