F-14D BuNo 164346 was the last Tomcat to trap aboard an aircraft carrier in July 2006. It made its final flight on Sept. 15, 2006 when it was delivered to the Virginia Aviation Museum in Richmond.
The museum has since shut down and the Museum of Flight at Rome, Georgia is keen to bring in the aircraft. However, it needs to raise $40,000 to transport the aircraft.
