Japan will allocate funding from 2018’s budget to go towards the construction of Aegis Ashore facilities in the country, Asahi Shimbun reports.

Deputy Defense Minister Kenji Wakamiya will be heading a committee from July to oversea the implementation.
The Ministry concluded that it will cost $718 million to phase in Aegis Ashore compared to $900 million for THAAD.
