The Austrian government has indicated that it wishes to phase out its 15 Eurofighters from 2020 and will lease a new type of fighter from another nation.

Reuters reported that the Austria Defense Ministry had already been in touch with other governments, air forces and aircraft producers.
Vienna had earlier in February sued Airbus and the Eurofighter consortium for allege deception and fraud in the procure of the Eurofighter fourteen years ago.
