A Royal Australian Navy (RAN) MH-60R naval helicopter was badly damaged inside the hangar of HMAS Warramunga on Oct. 9.

The warship experienced heavy sea state in Bass Strait and one of the lashings securing the helicopter failed.
The South Coast Register reported earlier that the helicopter bounced around the hangar, causing extensive damage to itself and the hangar.
The ship made a stop in Perth before heading out towards the Middle East. A replacement for the MH-60R was carried out during this period.
