BAE Systems has begun production of its sensor technology for the Long Range Anti-Ship Missile (LRASM), the company issued a statement on Nov. 1.
The $40 million order came from prime contractor Lockheed Martin.
BAE says its sensor allows the LRASM to semi-autonomously detect and identify targeted enemy ships without relying exclusively on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, networking links, or GPS navigation.
