Six aircraft types from U.S. Air Force, Marines, Navy came together for Orange Flag

Test teams from the U.S. Air Force, Marine Corps, and Navy came together for a coordinated, multi-service flight test event known as Orange Flag last month.

Fourth and fifth generation fighters joined the E-2C and EA-18G for this three-hour test event over the Mojave Desert.

Test engineer Kristofer Peterson said the test brings to light issues that may have previously been unknown.

“However, to do this we require new analysis methods and we plan on leveraging the lessons learned from a data analytics innovation project funded by the test wing this past year.”
