Flight Global reports that Greece plans to acquire 70 OH-58Ds that are declared as Excess Defense Articles (EDA) by the U.S. government.
So far, the Greek government’s council for foreign affairs and defense has approved the allocation of $54 million for this purpose.
Only 36 of the rotorcraft will be fully equipped while another 24 will be restored just enough to be use for training. 10 airframes will be cannibalized for parts.
