Myanmar to buy six Su-30SMEs

The Russian Ministry of Defense has disclosed that Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu has reached an agreement with Myanmar for six Su-30SME fighters.

Kommersant reported that the first aircraft will be ready for delivery next year. The order is vital for Irkust as it needs to keep the production line open till early 2020s before the MS-21 airliner starts production.

Details are being work out between both parties and Russia is expected to provide a financial package to Myanmar for the purchase.
