Hindustan Times reported on Feb. 25 that New Delhi has issued a Letter of Request (LoR) to Washington for six more AH-64Es.
The Indian government cleared the purchase in August 2017 and these six attack helicopters are meant for the Indian Army.
It will now wait for a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from United States before proceeding with the purchase.
India bought 22 AH-64Es in 2015 and is exercising its option to buy another six.
