A lawmaker on Iraq’s parliamentary security and defense committee has suggested that the Middle East nation purchase the S-400 air defense missile system to protect its airspace.

“So Iraq intends to possess such a system as S-400 to defend the land, shrines and air space. We are serious about that,” Iraqi MP Hakim Al-Zamili told Al-Ghad Press.
