Royal Navy deploying two AW159s with French Task Force sailing to Far East

Two Royal Navy AW159 maritime helicopters are now on board French Navy amphibious assault ship FS Dixmude for a mission that will take them to South Pacific.

The helicopters are assigned to 847 Naval Air Squadron and this is the second consecutive year that the British military is supporting the French Navy’s Exercise Jeanne d’Arc. A total 30 British personnel will be aboard Dixmude to support the deployment.
