During his speech at Oslo Military Society on Mar. 5, Director of the Norwegian Intelligence Service discloses how last year, nine Russian military aircraft conducted a mock attack on the Globus 2 radar station in Vardø.

Lt. Gen. Morten Haga Lunde told the audience that the incident took place on Mar. 24 and two months later, Russian aircraft carried out another mock attack on targets even further west in Northern Norway.
Russian fighters and bombers also harassed Western warships participating in exercise EASTLANT 17 in May.
