Former Thunderbird 4, Maj. Nick Krajicek, is returning to the team to replace Maj. Stephen Del Bagno. Del Bagno was killed in a F-16 crash on Apr. 4.
Krajicek had previously flew in the slot position during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
The team has also canceled its previously scheduled appearance at the Charleston Air Expo at Joint Base Charleston in South Carolina Apr. 28, and the Fort Lauderdale Air Show in Florida one week later.
