Pakistan bars U.S. defense and air attache from leaving the country after fatal road accident

The U.S. defense and air attache in Pakistan has been barred by the country’s court to leave the country. A C-130 that was scheduled to bring him out of the country had to leave without him on May 12.

An Islamabad court had ruled on May 11 that Col. Joseph Emanuel Hall had no diplomatic immunity in a road traffic accident on Apr. 7 that killed a motorcyclist.

Hall had reportedly ran a red light during the accident.
