British lawmakers want open competition for E-3D replacement

British lawmakers have demanded that Ministry of Defence must hold an open competition for a platform to replace the Boeing E-3D.

This follows media reports that the ministry was planning to negotiate with Boeing exclusively for the 737 Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) to replace the E-3D.
