Lt. Gen. Zhang Honghe, Deputy Commander of the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), confirmed to South China Morning Post that a new fighter is being develop to replace the Shenyang J-15.
The Post added that the Chinese-copy of the Su-33 had four crashes so far although only two were reported by the media.
