Russia is working on its own electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS) technology, TASS reports on Jul. 4.

The report quotes United Shipbuilding Corporation’s President as saying that work is underway. Although he did not specifically said the EMALS was under research, Nevskoye Design Bureau Sergei Vlasov earlier told TASS that Russia had started work on such technology.
