Embraer has been forced to postpone the delivery of the first KC-390 cargo plane to next year due to an incident with the prototype aircraft in May.
The aircraft had extensive damage to its airframe, forcing the manufacturer to complete remaining parts of the flight test program using another aircraft.
Embraer’s defense division also post a loss of $126.5 million for the latest quarter as a result of the incident.
