Australia deploying F/A-18s, C-17s, KC-30 to Chitose Air Base, Japan for Bushido Guardian 18

The Japan Air Self-Defense Force announced that the Royal Australian Air Force is deploying seven F/A-18s, 3 C-17s and a KC-30 to Chitose Air Base, Japan for exercise Bushido Guardian 18 next week.

The exercise starts on Sept. 5 and ends on the 30th. The Hornets are from No. 77 Squadron. Japan will be deploying its F-2 and F-15 fighter aircraft for this joint drill.

While the Australians will be deployed to Chitose, Misawa Air Base is participating in the exercise as well.
