South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Programs Administration (DAPA) said it teamed up with local defense contractor Hanwha Systems to build the country’s first directional infrared countermeasure (DIRCM).
The system has been tested several times against an actual heat-seeker. It will be inducted into military helicopters first.
