Thunderbird 4 crash report is out

The investigation into the fatal crash of a USAF Thunderbirds F-16C on Apr. 4 this year that claimed the life of the pilot has concluded.

The report says slot pilot Maj. Stephen Del Bagno had G-induced loss of consciousness (G-LOC) during the High Bomb Burst Rejoin maneuver.

Bagno was inverted at 5,500 feet and pulling -2Gs and later experienced 8.56Gs, all within five seconds.

Del Bagno lost consciousness for the next five seconds and only regain conscious one second before impact into ground.
