USAF getting another Bombardier Global 6000 for BACN program

The Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) program office is seeking a new Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft, in a ‘green’ configuration.

A Battlefield Airborne Communications Node-equipped E-11A aircraft rolls out on the flightline of Langley Air Force Base, Va., Sept. 18. BACN hardware allows for communication between warfighters that are operating on different networks and has the capability to relay info between air and ground forces. This will be the fifth manned aircraft for the BACN fleet. The fourth E-11A was delivered in 2013.
