Doubts over South Korea’s K-SAAM

Defense News says South Korea’s indigenous K-SAAM point-defense weapon system has been unable to intercept targets properly during its latest operational tests.


Although the manufacturer says the missile hit nine out of the ten targets thrown at it. Sources told the news outlet that only two were actual hits of targets skimming low on the sea surface. The targets were also flown at Mach 0.5, too slow to mimic real-life anti-ship missiles.
