The crew of a C-17 prematurely dropped a Humvee over the town of Cameron, North Carolina on Oct. 24.
A spokesperson said the aircraft – assigned to the 437th Airlift Wing – took off from Pope Army Airfield, Fort Bragg for a routine air drop test training mission. The air drop was done prematurely approximately five miles from the Fort Bragg drop zone.
