Germany launches tender process to replace its CH-53G fleet

The German government has published the tender notice for the heavy-lift helicopter program. The nearly $6.4 billion program will replace 80 CH-53Gs in service with the Luftwaffe.

Interested parties will have to submit their proposals by May 27.

  1. If the Germans are smart they will go for the CH-47. Its operational and in production. The King Stallion looks like another money pit of problems. Over $100 million a copy?
