U.S. to resume making parts for ground-launched cruise missile systems

The United States will start fabricating parts for ground-launched cruise missile systems, the Pentagon has announced.

A statement from the Pentagon said the parts are to support developmental testing of ground-launched cruise missile systems.

“This research and development is designed to be reversible, should Russia return to full and verifiable compliance before we withdraw from the treaty in August 2019,” Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza said in a statement.
