U.S. Army ditching the Multiple Missile Launcher as it reboots the IFPC

The U.S. Army has decided that it needs to do a restart for the Indirect Fire Protection Capability program and will abandon the Multiple Missile Launcher and design a new one that can accomdate bigger missiles.

The system will now focus on defeating cruise missiles. It was originally designed to shot down drones, rockets and cruise missiles. The first two tasks will now be fulfilled by the Maneuver Short-Range Air Defense and Iron Dome interceptor.
