The U.S. Army’s High Energy Laser Tactical Vehicle Demonstrator (HEL TVD) program has a winner. Dynetics has secured the $130 million contract to build and test the 100-kilowatt class laser weapon system.

While Dynetics is the prime contractor, Lockheed Martin is the laser weapon system integrator. It will provide the laser weapon subsystem, optimizing the performance of the laser module, power and cooling systems, and operator interfaces.
