Canadian warship HMCS Regina was buzzed by a pair of Su-30s from China as it was underway in the East China Sea on Jun. 24.

It was not known if the pair of fighters are the Su-30MKK operated by the Air Force or the Su-30MK2 in service with the Navy.
“This was not a dangerous scenario but it is one that we certainly paid close attention to,” Regina’s captain, Cmdr. Jake French, said.
The ship’s Sikorsky CH-148 Cyclone also spotted a Kilo-class attack submarine during its foray into the western Pacific.
