French Army Gazelle shot down by enemy fire in Mali

Details have emerged on an incident in Mali on Jun. 14 whereby a French Army Gazelle helicopter was fired upon and crash landed.

The rotorcraft was hit by 7.62 mm machine gun fire and caught fire. The engine lost power and the aircraft went down near Liptako during an operation against militants.
