Qatar to be first operator of AMRAAM-ER

Qatar has elected to buy the Raytheon National Advanced Surface to Air Missile System (NASAMS) under a $2.2 billion deal and the air defense missile system will be armed with the new AMRAAM-ER missile.

This makes Qatar the first operator of the AMRAAM-ER and the eleventh country to select the NASAMS.
