FAA allows military aircraft to operate with ADS-B turn off

A new ruling by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will allow military aircraft to turn off their automatic dependent surveillance broadcast (ADS-B) transponders.

This can only be done when the aircraft are conducting operations related to homeland security, law enforcement, national defense and intelligence. Prior authorization is still required.
