Taiwan wants to move its 21st FS to new base for frequent training with USN Super Hornets

Taiwan operates a small fleet of its F-16A/B fighters at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The 21st Fighter Squadron’s training program is suppose to shift to Tucson International Airport in 2020. Now, it has been reported that Taiwan wishes to move to a new location close to U.S. Navy fighter bases.

A team of experts from Taiwan has concluded that the F-16 pilots need more training with U.S. Navy Super Hornet squadrons and thus a base closer to the Pacific Coast is desirable.
